In 1965, the Beatles and the Supremes were topping the charts with hits like “Eight Days a Week” and “Stop! In the Name of Love.” Audrey Hepburn and Sophia Loren reigned as It Girls. “The Sound of Music” raked in five Oscars, and the first T.G.I. Fridays opened in Manhattan.
That same year, Tracy Klinkroth came into the world. She became class president in 5th grade (with a near miss at the title in 9th), and quickly ditched politics for bigger and better things. She became a high school cheerleader, then the social director of her sorority, before graduating from State University of New York at Geneseo’s School of Business with top grades and a dozen lifelong girlfriends.
Next up? Her grand entrance into the world of marketing.
After excelling at boutique research firms and big ad agencies in Boston and Seattle, Tracy re-routed her course in 1997. She got laid off and broke up with her boyfriend of four years in the same week. But this girl didn’t stay on the couch with a pint of Häagen-Dazs for long.
She reasoned, “If my former bosses could start a research firm, I can, too.” How’s that for a bounce-back? Tracy soon launched Epiphany Research, implementing studies for companies like Starbucks and Capital One.
Six years later, she became inspired by the stylish, influential (and dare we say kick-ass?) ladies doing big things all around her, and ChickChat was born. Now Tracy matches smart, honest women with some of the biggest brands out there. Think New Balance, eHarmony, Oregon Chai, Frito Lay … this girl’s got connections.
So what’s the secret to Tracy’s success? In a word, passion. She’s got the empowered savvy of a career maven and the spirit of a great friend. She’s smart and talented, with a killer résumé to prove it. And still, Tracy’s real. She knows how to have fun (how else could she throw fab events for women of all backgrounds, and have a blast doing it?). She pulls in big names, with extra perks. She cares deeply, using her free time to volunteer for several charities she feels passionately about. She loves nothing more than seeing women exert their power for positive and widespread change.
Tracy puts YOUR empowerment first, because that’s the real key to ChickChat’s success: YOU.
ChickChat takes an in-home, no-holds-barred, girl-time approach to focus groups—and guess what? It works. Honesty, as it turns out, is the best policy (and the glasses of wine that tend to show up at her events and in-home focus groups never hurt). Never before has in-depth, honest, REAL opinion-based market research been such a good time, and Tracy’s pretty thrilled to have you along for the ride.
Tracy now resides in Seattle, where yes, right now it’s probably cloudy with a 100% chance of all-day drizzle. When she’s not running a successful business, hitting the gym, or volunteering, she’s spending quality time with her friends and dreaming up the next educational, effective, or just plain fun ChickChat event —and she can’t wait to see you there.
